Dizzy Wright The 702 Ep Download

Dizzy Wright has always had a fairly malleable style, and after stripping things down on The Growing Process, he's shared two EPs in 2016, starting with the characteristically positive Wisdom and Good Vibes, and today, following it up with the more aggressive, The 702. Always repping for his hometown of Las Vegas, Wright's latest finds him attempting to capture the various elements of the city (some lesser known than others) within the sound of his new project. The result is a late-night, trap-infused tape that finds him working with scholars of low-end knock like Alex Lustig. It's a perfect companion piece to Wisdom and Good Vibes, and should satisfy fans of Wright while possibly earning him some new listeners. Stream the project in full below.

EDITORS’ NOTES

This is Sin City through the eyes of its first homegrown hip-hop star. On his second EP of 2016, Dizzy Wright offers a lingering look at his hometown, featuring appropriately bright neon synths from Belgian producer Alex Lustig. “East Side” is a fond tribute from a native’s perspective, cruising down Boulder Highway and skating at Crystal Palace, while “What’s in My Pot” warns an out-of-towner, “I can tell these Vegas streets gon’ turn you out.”
