Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that the TV tuner is not working in Windows 8.

Missing driver for multimedia video controller. Can anyone help me with the Multimedia Video Controller Drivers? ===> If you’re running 32 bit Windows, dxdiag will launch on. The best idea is to visit the HP's site to download latest drivers at any time.Just be careful to choose right driver for your video card. Other option is to enable auto downloading the drivers for your devices in windows 8 and say cheers. To do this you need to go to charms bar.

1.Are you using External/Internet TV tuner?

2.What is the make and model of the TV tuner?

Please follow the methods.

Method 1:

You can try using the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Search), entering hardware and devices in the search box, tapping or clicking Settings, and then tapping or clicking Find and fix problems with devices.

You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

Method 2:

a)Download the TV turner driver from the manufacturer’s website.

b)Right-click on the driver and click on properties.

c)Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select Windows 7 operating system from the drop down.

d)Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.

Hello,
I got pc from Japan with the operating system in Japanese Language I formatted the hard to load new operating system english version,now I have problem multimedia contrller drivers please if you can send me free drivers I will appreciate so much my compter model is NEC Value Star VL 500/4.

DriverFirst download Belarc utility program from this site http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Belarc will identify your motherboard and sound chip
then google the sound chip id and find the download site and download the 'audio driver'
then install it - reboot and you should have sound.

I have HP Pavilion dv5 1015tx laptop. I tried installing all files available on hp drivers and support. but my multimedia controller is still in yellow color. its drivers are still not installed. can some one please help me on this.
i use win7 pofessional
