I had been using my Nvidia Shield Controller on my laptop, which was working perfectly fine for a while. After a few days, however, it stopped working. The trackpad on it was fine, and I could use it to move the cursor and click, but all of the buttons were not functioning. After a bit of research, I found that I had to open device manager, disable the HID-compliant game controller, restart my system, enable it again, and all would be back to normal. I did this, which allowed me to use my controller properly again, but when I stopped using my laptop and switched it off, and later back on again, my controller had stopped working again so I had to restart my computer another time. I now have to do this every time I want to use the controller, which is very frustrating as it takes a long time to open device manager, then restart my laptop. All of my drivers are up to date. I would like a permanent fix for this; not something that requires me to restart my computer every time.

I'm here today because I'm having serious issues with my new laptop with Windows 10 installed. I've been getting a blue screen with the error message 'Driver Power State Failure' This happened once the first day I used it and then it never happened again until I received my device back from HP after they replaced my screen because of damaged pixels. I thought that maybe upgrading my HD to SSD and adding some extra ram would help boost things a bit but I don't think that made any difference as it kept happening even after the installation. So, I had it reverted back to the original hardware and now I'm just trying to figure out how to stop this from happening.
Now it's happening randomly every 5min - 3+hrs and I don't know how to fix it. Even after multiple complete restorations of my OS it still occurs.

I've read a bunch of solutions on these boards and have yet to find a solution that works for me.
I understand that there's information regarding this error located in a dump file in C:Windowsminidump and I've found that file, but I don't know what to do with it. Please help. I will list some of my hardware/software specs as well.
